Tis the season to be jolly FA LA LA…..
Everyone knows if ever there was a chance to have a little of what you like it is at Christmas time, and with that I introduce my Christmas Spirit post. Celebrating all things festive and hoping to get the party into gear with some of my favourite tipples….
First up is Aber Falls, situated at the gateway of Snowdonia National Park, the distillery is one of only a handful of businesses in the village They work very closely with residents to integrate into the local community. Created in 1862, BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO remained the sole preserve of the Bacardí family for seven generations. Used only for the most special occasions, this golden sipping rum is one of the oldest private rum blends in the world. Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums and aged for a minimum of 8 years, giving it a refined flavour with notes of prune, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla. Launched earlier this year, this whisky is selectively finished in high-quality cognac casks to create a new adventurous taste for the whisky lovers. I am not a huge Whisky drinker but know a decent bottle when presented with one and this Glenlivet Captains Reserve will most definitely be the one that is left out for Santa this year! I love finding things that are not on every single supermarket shelf, I think it makes drinking them a little bit more special. Something different.
