If you’ve spent any time on BookTok lately, you’ll know the to-be-read pile never actually shrinks — it just grows faster than you can read. Between new releases and backlist favourites everyone’s suddenly rediscovering, keeping up can get expensive. Which is exactly why I’ve become a bit obsessed with awesomebooks.com for topping up my shelves without blowing the budget.

I picked up three very different reads this time:

What sold me on trying Awesome Books in the first place was the mix — they stock brand new titles alongside a genuinely huge range of used books, so you’re not stuck choosing one or the other. My new copy of Land arrived in lovely condition, exactly as expected, while both second hand books turned up in far better nick than I was expecting — no dog-eared pages or mystery stains, just well-loved copies at a fraction of the price of buying new.
That’s really the appeal here: if you’re trying to keep up with every BookTok recommendation without your book budget spiralling, cheap books bought used are the obvious answer, and Awesome Books makes it easy to shop both new and pre-loved titles in the same order.

Between the condition of the used books online, the price difference compared to buying everything new, and how simple the ordering process was, this has become my new go-to whenever my TBR pile needs restocking. If you’re after books online without the full-price hit, it’s well worth a browse.
I have finished reading The Wrong Sister and have moved on to ACOTAR. I will do an actual book review soon too.
