In the past I have had the pleasure of taking part in one of the escape rooms in Newcastle. It was so much fun! With lockdown happening though there is nowhere open, making our own entertainment is essential.
Epic Escapes have created a fabulous ‘at home’ escape room concept that can give you as close to the real experience as possible.
The concept is pretty simple, there are 3 games in each Escape Room In A Box and everything you need is included. From fool-proof clear instructions with hint cards, high-quality puzzles, hardware and other necessary consumables you’ll need for the escape rooms. Each of the 3 games have different vibes, stories and strategies you have to undertake. Regardless if you are a beginner, novice or experienced escape-roomer, Epic Escapes will for sure keep your attention.
Crime – You’re house-sitting for a friend, all is well until shadows move past the living room window followed by a sinister knock at the door. Turns out, your friend is a marked man and you
seek refuge from the criminal abductors in his panic room. In your hurried and anxious state, you
end up locked in with no easy way out. You have one hour until the oxygen runs out. How can you
escape?
Piracy – On a lonely merchant navy tanker, your captain goes missing to be replaced with a new
one on a return voyage from Hong Kong to Bremen. Heading for the Suez canal, your captain
summons you and the crew for an emergency meeting. Before you can react, you are locked in and
you feel the ship change its course. Maybe the ship’s ‘important’ payload isn’t all that it seemed.
You must escape and find out before your time is up.
Hijack – You’re following a trace on a potential hijack plan. Inside the hijacker’s house, you’re
searching for intel but find yourself trapped in the hijacker’s secure stash room. The plans are here,
but they are encoded. Your task is to decode the plans to identify the plane, save its passengers
and escape the room.
The games are aimed at between 3 and 6 players but could be easily adapted for 2 players. One person setting up the room and another trying to escape. The set of 3 is priced at £99 which is on par with how much you would pay if you went to participate in a real time escape room. (£33 per game) Plus you have all of the equipment when the expansion packs launch.

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
