This week I haven’t managed to get as much reading done as I thought I would what with a restaurant review on Saturday, meal plan prepping for the Slimming World posts plus working on sponsored posts and social media promotions! (I did say I was going to ramp things up this year and they are certainly picking up speed!)
This past week I have been reading…
Title: The Power
Author: Naomi Alderman
Read: Paperback (£6.29, Kindle £4.99)
All over the world women are discovering they have The Power.
With a flick of the fingrs they can inflict terrible pain – even death.
Suddenly, evry man on the planet finds they’ve lost control.
The day of the girls has arrived – but where will it end!
So far I am half way through the book and loving it! It has a real girl empowering vibe and is a shift of power kind of book, obviously with what is going on in the world at the moment this kind of book was going to stand out. Naomi really has a way of telling the story where you feel you are involved in each section, they are split into following 4 people through the journey, from ’10 years to go’ through to the day we find out where it all ends!

Top marks for this book and I can see why it won the Baileys Womens Prize for Fiction in 2017.
Please join me by linking up below with any amount of books you work your way through each month.
I will be popping up a new link on the first Book Club 52 post each month, each week after that I will be directing you back to the link so that we can keep track of them all in one place, this way whether you read 1 book a month or 10 you can add them to the same post each time.
Comment on each weeks post to let me know how you are doing and to direct us back to your blog to comment on your commitment to the book club.
Happy Reading!
XOXO
Debbie
