If everyone elses teenage boys are like mine they will spend all their spare time either listening to music or playing computer games, or both! The one thing they ask for as gifts for birthdays are games or money to spend on games or online accessories for said games! In an effort to try and steer them away from gaming I want to make a list of items that are a little different, something that might get them excited again!
Experience days! Get them outside and doing something they wouldn’t normally, so instead of sitting around playing at racing cars how about climbing into a car and speeding around a real track! Grand Theft Auto but real time, OK so they won’t be chasing down bad guys but they get the thrill of being behind the wheel of a real car. Likewise with sky dives, paint balling, off roading and many more options.
A gold bar! I think everyone watches movies where they open the bank vault and a stack of shiny gold bars gleam out at you, I’m also sure I am not the only one who hopes that one day that could be THEIR vault, yes I know that is a day dream but just imaging having your own bar of gold to get those dreams started. Did you know you can actually buy a 1g bar of gold from Gold Eagle Coins. Imaging receiving that as a gift as a teenager, that would certainly make you feel like it was something achievable and the value of gold is always increasing so its the gift that could be worth so much more in the future too!
Collectibles! Everyone has a mini collector dying to get out, they are just waiting for the right thing to come along. Whether it be something as popular as stamps or action figures, through to memorabilia or Pop vinyl! We all love movies so how about one of those movie collection posters which you scratch off each time you watch a movie – with 100 scratch off areas that should keep them busy for a while. Of course collections can come at a great cost but at least it gives you something that you know you can add to when each special occasion comes around – you will never be short of gifts until the collection is complete!
Personalised Items! Whether it be a monogrammed wallet or a Ben’s Mancave sign for a bedroom door, something personal is always ideal as it shows thought has been put into it. It also shows that you took the time to get something just for them, yes they may grunt at you when you walk in the room, they may shrug their shoulders when you ask what they want for dinner. Have a tendency to make disgusting smells from the ‘mancave’ and create experiments with whatever is growing under their beds but when they get something that is literally ‘just for them’ then you know you have done your gift giving job!
XOXO

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
