Countdown of my top 5 foundations right now!

5. Dream Satin Liquid. Shade 21 Nude – Maybelline £7.99
Air whipped and fragrance free this would be higher on my list if it was a shade lighter! I know that’s my fault and nothing to do with Maybelline which is why its still in my top 5. Mixing it with a little moisturiser means I have an ideal shade but that doesn’t quite give the satin finish that the product promises. Again my fault so until I try a lighter shade I’m sticking it at number 5!
4. Lasting Finish 25hr. Shade 201 Classic Beige – Rimmel £7.99
This foundation is meant to be able to stay put for up to 25 hrs, through a working day and into the night. Not quite sure I’ve managed that long with it but it certainly has staying power. The liquid is easy to pump and is enriched with a serum so feels really light on my skin. It blends in without streaks and is easy to build up too which scores bonus points with me!
3. Match Perfection. Shade 103 True Ivory – Rimmel £7.99
‘Invisible coverage with pore blurring effects’ is how this foundation is marketed and I have to agree although it does tend to turn a little powdery after a few hours but that just could be down to my skin being rather dry. It does give a healthy look to my skin which I love and I swear by the concealer that matches the foundation as I wouldn’t use any other on my under eye and highlight areas!
2. WAKE ME UP Anti-fatigue Foundation. Shade 200 Soft Beige – Rimmel £8.99
I tend to stay away from fragranced make up incase it causes problems and I didn’t realise this would actually have a scent when I bought it but I’m glad it does! Boy is it nice – its like a faint perfume scent that feels very decadent! Applied with a stippling brush I have had no problems at all with this foundation and it leaves my skin looking and feeling healthy and bright! Highly recommended as a budget/high street buy!
1. Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation. Shade Light 45 – Kat Von D £30
I have had this foundation for well over a year now and there is still around half the bottle left! A little goes a very long way and gives complete coverage over flaws and imperfections! Designed to cover tattoos as well as as being a full cover foundation it creates a blank canvas to work on which is ideal for photo shoots and long lasting wear! I do have to be careful as it can settle in creases and my little lines can show up more but overall its a foundation I would be lost without!
Hope that helps anyone trying to find a good foundation and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask 🙂
XOXO
Debbie
