This weekend sees my eldest son get married. Our first born, that was once so tiny. Now a man who has his own family, this weekend they make the ultimate commitment.
For a long time I have been searching for the ideal outfit. Something that is not too showy. Something that will flatter my frame as I have put the weight back on (don’t worry its in hand!) I knew I wanted a dress and have always loved the style of swing dresses with full skirts.

When I was asked if I would like to work with JD Williams I knew this was the ideal opportunity to find something flattering and appropriate. There have been adverts on the TV lately and each time I have loved the looks. Normally I end up with a few outfits and choose which one fits best. For the first time ever I chose one dress and one pair of shoes. I took the chance that they would work and they truly do. The colours, the style, the size and the fit. When something is meant to be it really is perfect!

Nightingales. A design house who exclusive to JD Williams have created this beautiful prints dress and jacket set. The bodice is made from a luxurious heavyweight fabric with some added stretch that has a subtle shiny finish. The lovely prom-style skirt, in shadow stripe print, flares out skimming the hips. With a short sleeve jacket which will take the attention away from my upper arms. A beautifully wide satin strip to tie around the waist this is definitely a show stopping set.

The shoes are by Joanna Hope. A navy blue velvet peep toe dream that match the dress perfectly. The ruffle detail adds a touch of drama The heel is just 3 inches so not too high that it will stop me dancing the night away!
