I have long been a gin and tonic girl and not it seems as though it is everywhere! There are festivals popping up all over the country (I am attending one in Newcastle in April!), enamel pins (one of which my sis got me for Christmas), gift sets, wall hangings, decor and so much more.
So, I though with Mothers Day looming over us I would prepare a little wishlist of gifts and right now they are all gin and tonic based – bring on the lemon!
Gin & Tonic Toiletries – now you can have the blissful pleasure of feeling like you are bathing in your favourite tipple! I have these and with being on Slimming World I have to admit sometimes just washing my hands and being able to smell the G&T means that I don’t drink those extra sins! Another lady at Slimming World uses the M&S hand cream and pours herself a glass of tonic water! The smell from the hand cream is enough to make it feel like she is drinking it so win win! lol Available from The Letteroom from £4.50 – £25
Gin Framed Wall Art – I love a good statement piece of wall art and this bright yellow ‘When Life Gives You Lemons Make Gin and Tonic’ print is a refreshing site first thing on the morning! I dithered over putting it in the kitchen but chose to put it above my desk instead as it makes me smile each time I see it – damn right, forget the lemonade and slice that lemon!! From The Letteroom £27.95
Oliver Bonas have a G&T lipbalm down to £2 instead of £6 at the moment so ideal to pop in your handbag or pocket! Mum would love you too as it’s from OB – she doesn’t need to know the price! 😉
Of course you are going to need somewhere to slice those lemons for the G&T so why not a dedicated mini chopping block from The Oak & Rope Company. Measures approximately 20 x 15 cm. Standard engraving of G & T or choose from your own engraving such as LEMON, LOVE or GARLIC! I would love to see a whole line up of personalised chopping blocks for everything I ever need cutting – I have a thing for chopping blocks anyway so I would be so excited to receive this (yes I’m strange I know!) lol RRP: From £45
Fill your home with the aroma of your G&T with a Happy Hour Gin and Tonic candle from Temptation Gifts. It won’t break the bank either at £8.99 so an ideal gift for mum – tell her to sit back, pour her a glass and light this too! Bliss, and with a burn time of 35 hours it will last longer than the real thing!
Personally I would love my own Grow Your Own Gin Garden! Over on NOTHS, Plant and Grow have a beautiful gift set comprised of everything you need to grow your own gin botanicals. I love experimenting with flavours so to be able to make grow something from scratch and create my own cocktails appeals hugely to me. If you have a green fingered or crafty mum I bet she would love it too! RRP: £16.95
The pin I received at Christmas was from Of Life & Lemons and when browsing for more pins I came across a bag of the same image! I think this would make a fab addition to my school run life and would certainly liven up the chatter at the school gates. I always hate paying the fees for carrier bags now too and constantly forget to take bags with me so if I had this its a win win situation – no more wasted 5p and no more plastic in the landfill! Gin is a winner again! lol RRP: £16.00
I hope this has given you some ideas for the ideal gift for a gin lover!
Remember drink in moderation!
XOXO
Debbie

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
