Its so good to see the girls so excited about crafting and I will encourage them all I can. We were offered a Halloween witch crafts for adults & children box of goodies in conjunction with Viking Direct. I knew the girls would have free reign to create what they liked. I would be there just to help though!
By now you know how much we love crafts. Also our love of Halloween, so combine the two, we are all in craft heaven! Especially Evie, for some reason this year. She has come into her own where Halloween is concerned and is making things almost every day!
There were lots of fab goodies in the box. She dived straight in to the glass jars and ‘anywhere’ pen. Besides making the galaxy jars the other day she had a fabulous idea of drawing on jars to make a silhouette when a tea light was added. She did this without me knowing and I actually looked at the jar on the fireplace and thought she had added a sticker to it! To find out she had drawn the witch and moon made me smile so much. It shows she has her own ideas and isn’t afraid to express them. A couple of the other jars she decorated with stickers and put ‘smoke’ inside in the form of the cobweb fabric. (I did help her finish off one of the jars)
Inside the box was a leaflet with ideas from Pinterest about Halloween witch crafts for adults and children. One that caught Evies eye was the tissue pumpkins. We had already bought chocolate balls covered in eyeball foil paper so she added a few of those to the centre of a circle of tissue and pulled up the sides to create a bunched centre point. The tissue that was packed in the box was shredded and we used some of this to tie the pumpkins and added a little cut leaf to each one. I have to admit these are super cute and would be great as little name places for a Halloween lunch. Write the name on the leaf in silver pen!
Also inside the box was black card which was perfect when it came to cutting out witches shoes for our cheesecake centre piece! A pair of shoes freehand cut and taped to striped straws look ideal as witches legs when stuck upside down inside the cake. Just like the witch crushed by the house on Wizard of Oz (Evies favourite movie so her idea too!)
What are you making for Halloween? Have you decorated yet? I would love to see your pictures of any Halloween witch crafts for adults or children!!
XOXO
Debbie
