I blink and another year passes.
I find it strange that days can drag on forever yet the years fly past, scarily too fast.
You have just turned 4. How did that happen?!
Looking back it seems like yesterday when I was pregnant for the 7th time, expecting what was to be our 6th full term baby. Hoping you would be another girl to give Evie a run for her money in the diva stakes but at the same time hoping you wouldn’t be another demanding princess.
We needn’t have worried, you are anything but drama filled and much prefer superheros and football to pinks and dolls. There is no drama just rough and tumble, no ribbons and bows just dirty knees and fights!
You love to dress up but not in princess pink dresses, you love superheros and Horrid Henry. When it comes to children’s party ideas you are more go carts and climbing than nail varnish and pampering.
We didn’t have a party this year, you were more than happy with spending time at McDonalds with your sister and riding your new bike.
We did have chocolate cake! Some things never change!
You are starting to show your independence and love to do things yourself, like put your shoes on the wrong feet….every time!
We are growing our own veggies and you have your own little patch to take care of, you tend them so carefully and make sure they have enough water. Talking to them and making sure they are all happy, yes they may be tomatoes but they’re your tomatoes.
Watching you grow has become on of my favourite wastes of time. I am hoping time slows down a little so that we can enjoy 4 for a while yet.
5 seems like such a big number and I don’t think I am ready for that yet.
XOXO
