I have always had issues with my weight, having 6 children tends to do that to you. Yo-yo diets trying to shift baby weight year after year left me feeling like I could never really shift the excess I had gained over the past 21 years. With ages between 3 and 21 you can bet that I kept using the age old ‘baby weight’ excuse so when our family was finally complete I guess there really was no excuse as to why I couldn’t finally knuckle down and get it moved!

Since July last year I have regularly attended classes and so far managed to shift almost 3 stone and I am now a comfortable size 14. However I know that realistically I need to shift another stone or two to feel really ME again, I tend to carry a lot of weight in an apron around my stomach which I know is down to c-section and lack of tummy toning exercises post kids.
I read somewhere that to lose weight around the middle is 90% in the kitchen and less to do with exercise so I am joining forces with XLS Nutrition for 8 weeks to hopefully move this ‘band’ of weight and finally feel comfortable enough to wear shorts etc this summer!

After a trip to London to meet some of the other bloggers taking part in this 8 week challenge I feel a lot more confident about everything and even had myself filmed making a declaration to stick to it! Dinner at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings was a great way to start the trial and getting to meet the team behind XLS Nutrition was a perfect start. Accountability is what I need so this is great for me and hopefully will make me a little more inclined to get in front of the camera too! We are collectively known as XLS – Boost Buddies which I think sums us up completely since we are going to need to keep each other motivated and encouraged over the next 8 weeks.

The XLS Nutrition shakes I am using are vanilla, chocolate and strawberry and contain:
I look forward to keeping you all updated with how I get on and sharing the results in 8 weeks to see if I hit that stone mark and finally head toward the end of my weight loss journey!
XOXO
Debbie
