Before we moved we lived in our home for over 8 years, in that time we never had a shower…we contemplated putting one in our bathroom many times but just never got round to it! As much as I love soaking in the bath with masses of bubbles and a good book, sometimes you just need a quick refresh!
Now that we have moved we have an ensuite which is a shower cubicle and boy did I forget just how quick and easy having a shower was!
My top 5 reasons I couldn’t be without a shower now:
- Me time! Not having little ones try to empty their entire toy boxes in with you – i swear it didn’t matter if it was a bath toy or not it ended up in the water! It gets a little squishy when both girls and half the contents of Monster High are sharing your bath water!
- Hair Dye! Gone are the days of breaking my neck and back trying to bend over the bath to dye my hair (filling the bath with water and dunking your head with black hair dye is never going to end well!)
- Speed! I love jumping in the shower just before bed, nothing feels as good as being super clean and hoping into fresh sheets too! Bliss!
- Hairs! My hair is always falling out so to be able to shower and not have to detangle myself from a mass of hairs as i exit the water is worth it alone! Not to mention the hair from shaving – lying in a pool of that while shaving underarms, legs etc just isn’t appealing anymore!
- Conserving Water! I have to admit a huge bug bear or mine is when hubby leaves taps running etc so know that having a shower saves a lot more water than a bath is a huge bonus for me!
