In past posts I have mentioned about how obsessed Evie is with Shopkins and how fabulous her collection is. She can play for hours with the little characters and has well over 150 now, this is not including the buildings, accessories and dolls. When she heard there was an app coming out and that we would get the chance to try it she was super excited!
Moose Enterprises and Kuato Studios have recently announced the first official game for the hugely successful Shopkins Happy Places brand. The app is aimed at children age 5+and is centered around Shopkins Happy Places where children can build their dream homes. The app is completely free to download and currently only available in the IOS App Store, however there are in app purchases but these do need to be approved by an adult before downloading.
All of the Shopkins dolls have amazing coloured hair and costumes and we are presented with Jessycake who lives in HappyVille, she has her first home and its up to you to help her get set up. Children can furnish the house with items known as Petkins (this is furniture with faces etc just like the real life pieces Evie collects) Evie has full control over every aspect – even down to the candles in the candle sticks, each item can be moved around the home and ‘swiped down’ to remove all together.
The more you play the more you earn and having moved things around 25 times you are presented with a gift box of 3 Petkins. Obviously the more you do the more you can collect but you are also able to buy a box of 5 Petkins for £1.99 as an in app purchase, unlike real life though there are no duplicates so you never get more than one of the same item.
Parental controls mean you can set a time limit on how long you want your child to play on the app, this is great as Evie would be on there for hours at a time if I left her to it but this way she knows she only has 20 mins or so. Also the controls mean you can turn down and set the volume as, like all apps for kids, the music gets a little annoying after a while…you do start humming it to yourself though so its a real ear worm!
You can download the app from HERE and check out the video below to see exactly what it is all about! You won’t be disappointed but you may make a little Shopkins addict very happy!
We were provided with funds to download some in app purchases and compensated for our time. All views and opinions are our own and genuine.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
