Since our local photography studio has closed down I wanted to search for someone to come to our home (or meet us outdoors) for a family shoot, we have a new grandson so this would be his first Christmas and I want something that will be a great memory.
The first thing you need to do is enter the service you require (ie photography) and your postcode so that it can find professionals in or willing to travel to your area.
The app then asks you some questions to help narrow down the service or professional you need…
- How many people are in the shoot
- Where will the photographs be taken
- Style of shoot (outdoors etc)
- Is there a theme for the shoot
- What format you would like the finished product
- Approx budget
- When you need the service
The great thing is there are options of ‘I’m not sure’ or ‘Photographers recommendation’ so if you aren’t sure on what kind of shoot you would like or you would rather follow the photographers lead then that is possible too.
Next you submit your request and wait for the bids to come in, my first bid arrived the following morning but concidering I live in the middle of no where I was amazed there was any bids at all! If you struggle to get offers, enter your nearest large town and you can work with the professional when the quotes come in. Notifications are sent via text message or email which I think is great as you can find out straight away if you have responses to your request!
The great thing about Bidvine is that it is a perfect platform for local businesses to gather more work as I would not know where to start looking for handymen or plumbers etc. This way all you do is pop your details into the app and they come to you!
