This Peppa Pig play mat is an interactive floor mat specially designed to encourage children to be active whilst having fun and learning.
Having just finished her first term of nursery I am delighted with how Amelia is progressing and to see her learn even more at home gives me a sense that I am doing my job right!
Featuring Peppa Pig and her friends, this bright and colourful playmat has four fun modes: Peppa Says, Numbers, Where is? and 3 Peppa Sons to sing along to including “Big Balloon” and “The Bing Bong Song”. Simply choose the play mode and follow Peppa’s fun instructions.
I was pleasantly surprised with how clear the instructions and voices are on this mat, simple and easy to follow with nothing too difficult, Amelia picked it up quickly! It is lovely to see her get the numbers right and our favourite setting is the Where is? button. Peppa asks Amelia to find certain items or friends and with a simple step or touch of the mat a little twinkle noise is given to show that the correct answer was given. I was pleased to also see that when the wrong answer is chosen it re asks the question and tells them to try again. This is something I have always encouraged the children to do – try, try and try again.
The songs are a couple of our favourites and ‘Big Balloon has to be sung with the typical Peppa drawl…so funny to watch Amelia sing and dance along to it. It is also good to see how much she has picked up from the cartoons too, colours, numbers and shapes etc are all on the mat so it is a great teaching implement.
With technology being a big part of our childrens future it is good to get them use to electronic learning aids now when they are small.
