Once in a while something comes along that makes the children think you are a hero in your field….for me it was being offered the chance to review the new Papa Deep Crust pizza.
Good pizza can make my children silent in seconds and Papa John brought some of the UKs tube stations a unique platform dining experience!
Deeper pizza, deep underground
Hampstead Tube station on the network’s Northern Line played host to a one-of-a-kind pizza party as slices of Papa John’s new ‘Papa’s Deep Crust’ pizza were delivered to the platform of the network’s deepest station to celebrate the launch of the pizza chain’s first ever deep crust pizza in the UK.
Diners swapped the usual busy Tube carriages and awkward eye contact for a moment of mouth-watering relaxation as they tucked into delicious light and fluffy ‘Papa’s Deep Crust’ pizzas during the unusual dining experience in the depths of the north London station. 58.5 metres below ground, uncomfortable benches were replaced by cosy sofas placed in front of screens showing box-set favourites to give a taste of a perfect Papa John’s night in.
We were delivered 3 of the new Deep crust pizzas to try and were given a delivery time (I am always dubious as we have had so many orders either late, where i need to chase, or really early and none of us are ready yet!) Our delivery was scheduled for 7pm and at 6.57pm the delivery driver turned up – colour me impressed!
A new recipe tomato sauce has also been created, using Californian vine-ripened tomatoes which go from field to can in six hours. Added to this is a blend of signature spices and extra virgin olive oil which are then reduced to create a richer tasting sauce, complementing the new thicker base perfectly. Every ‘Papa’s Deep Crust’ pizza uses an extra cup of cheese, which is spread all the way to the edge of the dough to create a caramelised, crispy cheese crust. Each pizza is then completed with all the favourite pizza toppings, including fresh “store cut” vegetables.
The kids gave the pizza a huge thumbs up and I have to admit that it isn’t very often I will order pizza but these have really changed my mind. The taste was divine and the toppings were plentiful. It really was good value for money and we will most definitely be ordering again.
An even tastier treat, the new ‘Papa’s Deep Crust’ is on offer until 26th November 2017 priced from £10.99 (including ‘create your own’ with up to four toppings) from Papa John’s outlets nationwide – making it a deep-lightful addition to a night in relaxing in front of the TV.

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
