This is the first year I have decided to write up a gift guide!
Usually each year I make a little list of things I would like and then hand it over to hubby, we see what we need and go from there. Our presents are generally practical and something we either need or can both/all use, games are for family night, household items are something we wouldn’t normally buy all year round so may ‘gift’ ourselves for Christmas and so on….
This year I thought I would give a run down of a few bits that have been on my list for a while and would be ideal for any other fun loving, busy, home loving mommas like myself.
I am all about Hygge at the minute and we are loving all of the blankets, candles, cushions and comfort. We have always gone OTT on comfy furnishings and this may be the reason why we are all such total home birds, seriously, I would rather be curled up in a blanket, drinking hot chocolate than be anywhere else! Heat Holders do the most amazingly snuggly blankets which are 1.4 tog and generously sized at 180 x 200 cm these would be ideal to snuggle under to watch Christmas movies with the family or loved one! Priced at 23.99. Top of our list is fluffy socks, to keep the girls all snug for winter too they have adorable themed socks which are a sure fire way to get the kids to keep them on their feet (if your kids are anything like mine they hate wearing socks!) but these are just too cosy not to wear and have the non slip stickies on the bottom for safety on wooden floors. Priced at £7.99 these are a great stocking filler!
Everyone knows I love cooking and baking so to receive anything kitchen related means I am a happy bunny! The girls have inherited my love of making food too so spending one on one time with them teaching them how to bake is a delight. BKD was started in 2014 and is an award winning childrens baking company specialising in baking kits to fire up kids imaginations! We love a good theme product here and tend to find that shop bought boxes are simply plain cakes with rice paper pictures, the products from BKD are so much more! The BKD Cookbook is top of my cookbook wishlist this year and I would hope to receive at least one maybe a few of these fabulous cookery kits to inspire both Evie and Amelia to follow in my footsteps in the kitchen! rrp: £9.99
Since the government brought in the 5p charge for carrier bags I kick myself every time I visit the supermarket and have to buy more! I think of the millions I have stashed under the sink and cringe! These supermarket Trolley Bags are a total Godsend considering how often we now shop at Aldi, where you have to cram everything back into your trolley then move over to the side to pack! The Trolley Bags eliminate the need to repack the trolley once you’ve paid – you simply open up the bags and pop the groceries straight into the bags from the conveyor belt – no more wasted time at the benches struggling with carriers, groceries and reloading the trolley!

Little ones with inquisitive fingers means that when I’m straightening my hair I’m always on the look out for what Amelia is doing! She is the kind of kid that would grab first then think about what shes grabbing later! With the Hot Iron Holster I can fasten it up and out of her reach and not worry about it being left out in her eye sight! Prices start at £18.99 and are available from Packing Sorted.
As I mentioned above, we love a cosy home! I plan on getting some of these fabulous printed cushions made up for the conservatory with each of the childrens faces on, I am sick of the fighting over the sofa spaces but that’s another story! Mr Nutcase kindly gifted us a suede cushion printed with whatever we wish, now it might look a little vein to have your own photo stuck onto a cushion but there is method behind this madness! lol We are trying to get Amelia to stay in her own room and this way she has both mummy and daddy with her in bed. Granted, so far this hasn’t worked and Evie has fallen asleep each night using it but how fabulous a gift is this … something that you can hug even if the person isn’t there! Prices start from £16.00
Now that I am on the right side of 40 *cough* I will admit to needing help in the eye department! Age, combined with lack of sleep, stress and day to day wear on my poor skin have taken their toll. Verso Super Eye Serum is a delightfully light and creamy liquid that actually feels more like cream than serum so absorbs into the skin without feeling oily! There is a slight tightening to the skin as it dries and I love this feeling as subconsciously I *know* its working! lol Paraben free and specially formulated with a patented Retinol 8 Complex to eliminate dark circles and smooth fine lines! rrp: £65.00
I dont know about you but since I had children my nails are constantly snapping and breaking! No sooner do I get them to a decent length then they all seem to conspire against me and start chipping and flaking. I love to go and spend time getting acrylics put on but in less than a week of hitting the wrong keys on the keyboard Im ready to rip them off myself which is where Kiss Press on nails come into play! How great to have so many different looks depending on where you are going and what youre wearing and super cute that they come in a little nail varnish bottle too! These are definitely on my list to be popped into my stocking this year! rrp: £5.99
Everyone should have a signature scent, whether it be something you have worn since you first started wearing perfume or something that was recommended for you. (There are perfume stylists out there who will design your signature scent for you – oh to have the money to have your own personalised scent!) There is always a barage of celebrities jumping on the merchandise bandwagon but one name that has stood the test of time is the enigmatic Joan Collins! I can remember sneaking Joans books from the library as they were deigned a little bit saucy for teenage eyes and I have loved her ever since! ha The signature Joan Collins perfume is exactly what you would expect it to be! A dark and sultry liquid with a strong woody scent that you can imagine would last for hours (that whole sentence sounds like something from one of her books sorry!!) haha A delight for the senses and a true grown up scent! rrp: £38.50
By now you know I love a good cup of tea! Typically British I know but when you can get so many different varieties it would be rude not to try them all wouldn’t it? Tearoute have a choice of over 80 beautifully aromatic whole leaf teas inspired by the Mediterranean and top quality single origin teas from Asia. Tearoute introduces shoppers to an extensive list of flavoured teas, wellness teas and true origin white, green and black teas. This online store is a one-stop shopping hub for those seeking tea blends with natural ingredients including oils, dried fruits, flower blossoms and spices and I for one will be directing hubby there with a long list of tea essentials that I need in my stocking this year! The amazing Red Square tea can even be incorporated into a Cranberry Tea Cosmopolitan Cocktail so bonus points for including alcohol for the festive season Tearoute! rrp: £6.00

That about sums up my wishlist for now, of course there is always the standard Ferrero Roche chocolate, some new undies (larger the better, its cold out there!) and a bottle of Baileys or five!
Whatever you wish for this year, enjoy it!
XOXO
Debbie
