If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that the girls love anything ‘surprise’ or blind bag in origin! Time and time again they start a new collection of the must have toys that are uncovered through ‘unboxing’, obviously the only downside to this is if they get more than one but luckily so far the girls have been pretty lucky on that score.
One toy Evie has always nagged me for are the L.O.L Surprise! Dolls but as they retail between £9.99 and £10.99 each its a little more than I would pay if we were just visiting the shops for the day and buying a random treat or pocket money toy.
However now I have seen how much fun they can be and how much is actually included then I would be more inclined to get her to save her pocket money to spend on these now and again.
Inside each L.O.L Surprise there is a secret message sticker, a collectible sticker sheet, a bottle charm, a pair of shoes, an outfit, an accessory, a ring tattoo, Confetti Pop and a L.O.L. Surprise! doll with water surprise. Feed your doll with the water bottle to find out if she cries, spits, tinkles. Or bathe her in cold water to see if colour changes! The LOL doll is the best layer of surprise! Dress her in all of the accessories you’ve revealed. Each character is completely different. There are 35+ all new dolls to collect and a ribbon to pull for a Confetti Pop surprise!
What I loved about the packaging was that each layer had a little perforated zip so that Evie could open it herself, there’s no fun in opening it if mum has to do it! They are a lot bigger than other blind bag toys and contain a lot more than a random little piece of collectible plastic!

Opening each little section brought a new surprise blind bag that Evie had to tear open. Inside each one was an item of clothing for the doll that would be revealed at the end, we got a mini white bikini, teeny shoes, bottle and a pair of sunglasses, all individually wrapped which prolonged the fun and excitement of opening!
Unfortunately Evie was a little eager to get to the doll and didn’t wait for me to get set up to try and catch the confetti moment but the squeals from both her and Amelia were enough to make me want to buy another to do it all over again. There is a zip ribbon inside and you turn the ball upside down and give a strong pull, the top of the ball flies off and confetti poured out! The doll is inside the top section of the ball and ours is called Vacay Babay from the Swim Club collection and is super cute with little plaits and buns and pouty mouth that squirts water!
The ball itself is very sturdy and makes a great little handbag to carry all the bits around in, I can definitely see these becoming a regular feature in our house!
Available from Smyths and all good toy shops retailing at £10.99
