I’m a couple of days late with this but it’s so busy here that I am still playing catch up! Joys of trying to do it all myself but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Lets start off with the Christmas Tag which was sent from Kira – my bestie!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS TRADITION?
I think my favourite would have to be waiting at the top of the stairs Christmas morning waiting to find out if Santa has been. We did this when I was little too. My Dad would go downstairs while the rest of us sat at the top of the stairs waiting. He would shout that Santa has been and we would all descend! Now its just me and the girls this year will be a little different unless one of the boys decides to stay here.
We also love adding new decorations each year. This year we changed our tree to pink and white and added in window scenes from Snowwindows. You can create your own amazing winter scene on your windows with a reusable, pack of 4 stencils. Arrange them in any order, spray them with snow spray and remove to reveal your winter wonderland.
WHERE DO YOU SPEND CHRISTMAS?
At home. For the longest time we split between trying to keep everyone happy before realising we were running ourselves ragged at Christmas and not really enjoying it ourselves. Since we split we have always spent Christmas day together so that we can still have everyone together. Usually everyone comes here and stays until late.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG?
I think it would have to be either Last Christmas by Wham or All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey. I’m a sucker for a pop ballad!
TINSEL OR GARLAND?
BOTH! We have both silver and white tinsel on the tree. We also have pink pearl garlands too just to mix it up a little. There isn’t tinsel anywhere other than the tree though, I’m not totally 80s!
MINCE PIES – LOVE OR HATE?
Love them now and again but mainly just Christmas day. Hot with whipped cream!
IF YOU COULD BE A CHRISTMAS MOVIE CHARACTER WHO WOULD IT BE?
Probably Mrs Claus in any movie! I love the idea of being behind the scenes cooking gingerbread and messing around in the kitchen while the elves and Santa make everyone else happy. They then get to come home and I have Christmas ready for them.
PEPPERMINT OR GINGERBREAD?
Gingerbread. Whether it be houses, biscuits or syrup in my coffee.
REAL OR FAKE TREE?
We had a real one for a couple of years and to be honest it was more a pain in the bum than anything else! Needles were a nightmare and the removal and disposal was ugh! Fake all the way for me now plus it helps that I managed to bag a beautiful white tipped pine one in the sale last year for a quarter of the RRP.
DO YOU HAVE AN ADVENT CALENDAR?
Yes! No chocolate though I’m just not that fussed on those. Mine is a tea light one. I love waking up and lighting a new one every day. Of course they are all Christmas scents which sets the scene for the day.
FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE?
Hmm this is a tough one! I think probably the Santa Claus movies, or Jingle All The Way, or Christmas With The Kranks….. Dont make me pick just one!
Hope you all enjoyed a little insight into my Christmas festivities and hope you will join in too, consider you all tagged!
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
