First and foremost, at heart I will always be a foodie. I love to bake and create new recipes and of course there is the eating part of it – which could explain why I need to shift a few extra pounds but it just tastes so darn good!
Finding new things to play with in the kitchen gets me excited and when I hear of others who say they would be annoyed or upset with gifts for the kitchen I just find it bizarre – I think its a bonus that I am getting something I really need AND want! With that I have put together a guide for the foodie in your life, whether they love creating in the kitchen or simply enjoying good food.

I am currently watching The Man In The High Castle so obsessed with everything Japanese and with green tea being so popular at the minute these Katazome stoneware tea cups would make the ideal gift for any tea party. ‘Katazome’ is the name of a traditional Japanese fabric-dyeing technique. It was used to create the intricate patterns on kimonos. A waxy paste is pushed through an expertly carved stencil onto the fabric. When the coloured dye is applied, the paste resists or repels the dye, leaving the design to show through. The floral patterns on these stoneware teacups are typical of the traditional katazome designs. RRP: £45.00

After seeing the Iceland Christmas Ad this year, yes the one that has been banned because it is considered too political I made a pledge to stop using products that use palm oil. I am glad to say my favourite chocolates do so too. As well as quality, sustainability is a priority for Guylian, which is why the brand has removed palm oil from all chocolate recipes, replacing it with shea butter and sunflower oil, resulting in a smoother texture and even better tasting chocolates which also contain less saturated fat and sugar. RRP: £7.50 from Guylian
