Mmmm Sushi!
From the moment they could eat, the kids have always eaten EVERYTHING! Curry, sweet & sour, sushi…cockles!! haha
One of Evies absolute favourites though is Sushi and she adores Yo Sushi but since our nearest is the Metro Centre it was seen as a very rare treat! That was until a fabulous new store opened up in the heart of Durham, our home town called NUDO Sushi Box!!
Nudo is a fabulous restaurant where you purchase freshly pre packed sushi boxes and can either eat in or take away. They make hot and cold food with the addition of a small selection of desserts and drinks. The prices are very good too with a Mid box of 12 Maki (Evies favourite) coming in at only £3.20, with this you also get a little tub of pickled ginger, a sachet of soy sauce and sachet of wasabi!
The long boxes are £3.95 and an example which just happens to be my favourite contains 6 Seared Salmon Nigiri with a portion of Edamame beans and again the sachet of ginger, soy and wasabi. Chopsticks are an additional 8p
The Big Boxes contain enough to share and are a very reasonable £5.45/£5.95 There are again lots of different varieties depending on what you would like but one of my favourites is the Salmon Tuna Nigiri California. 
The store itself is situated just outside of the Gates shopping centre heading towards Durham Bus Station. Although this is a little gem, each time we have been it has never been too busy and I think that is purely to do with where it is situated. With a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff I would highly recommend popping into Nudo next time you are in Durham.
