Hmm is that the right title or should it be F*ck It Fours!?
Some days I am in awe of the little lady and how she behaves and then other days I swear she is the spawn of Satan himself!
Amelia hit four in May and since then we have had a whirlwind of mayhem, attitude, adoration and cuteness. Not always in that order and most definitely not in equal amounts!
Little madam loves to get herself dressed, ok let me clarify, she loves to not like what I choose for her to wear but won’t pick out her own clothes. I have to have at least 3 alternative options for her to wear – all consisting of leggings and t shirts of course and its only when I am about to throw them all in the air and declare she spends the day naked that she will pick the first set I was trying to dress her in an hour ago!

Food is becoming an issue too, she loves crab sticks and cereal – in that order. She can work her way through a 30 pack of crab sticks in as many minutes and I swear she is going to start walking side ways soon! Cereal consists of Krave, which are chocolate filled pillows or Mateys which are a shaped cereal with the addition of mini marshmallow pieces (remember Lucky Charms when we were little – well they are like those but a lot cheaper!) She loves a cup of tea now and again but prefers juice and will drink gallons during the day. I do often wonder what her bladder looks like as she can hold copious amounts of fluid before declaring that she is bursting – usually just as I sit on the toilet or get in the bath!

She has a real problem with her sister right now! I don’t know if its because she is asserting her independence and letting Evie know shes not there to be messed with or whether shes just a little red headed firecracker. Either way I do feel sorry for Evie at times, from being called a poo-head to having to deal with hissy fits being thrown every time she has something Amelia wants – and believe me EVERYTHING she has, Amelia wants! She may only be 4 but I am telling you now even I wouldn’t want to meet her in a dark alley when shes in one of her moods!

Then of course there are the times when she wants nothing more than to sit on my knee and hug, she wakes up in the middle of the night and I just feel a little nudge and she is sitting there rubbing her eyes asking me to ‘nuggle’ so we cuddle and fall back to sleep together. She sees either myself or Evie upset and she will sit with you holding a hand or rubbing a back until she knows you are ok, knows that you have a smile again and that she has done her job as protector to make all well again. She wants to help when she knows I have too much to do and will take out her own plate and cup and place them carefully in the sink. She will come over, look you in the eye and tell you she loves you so much or that you are her bestest friend forever.

She is my fiery red head and I wouldn’t have her any other way.
XOXO
Debbie
