Be still my heart!
I have always been a huge fan of Soap & Glory products, especially the Sugar Scrub! (O.M.G the smell alone is to die for!) Up until now I had coveted all of the bath and body products due to the fact they smell absolutely divine and do exactly what they are supposed to – make you feel fabulously clean, soft and moisturised!
I popped in to Boots to pick up a prescription and a special offer on Soap & Glory make up caught my eye. Now don’t get me wrong, I have seen the make up stand before but dismissed it as I always thought of S&G as a bath/shower company. How wrong could I be!
The offer was buy one get another half price and since I have been needing a new blush for a while I thought I would take a look and see what they had to offer. I pulled out the little slide tray that shows the tester and think I actually gasped – it drew a few funny looks but I am use to that now as I do tend to get a little excited when there is a new make up release!
What glowed up at me was a little wheel of pinks and shimmers that stole my heart straight away! It has the perfect combination of colours to give a great healthy blush while adding a highlight at the same time. There are three different compacts in this range and quite aptly the I picked up is called Love At First Blush! How cute is that! The one others are Multicolour Blushing Brick which is a combination of peaches and tan colours and Wonderbronze Shimmer Brick which is more of an all over bronzer. I will definitely pick up the other 2 at some point as the pigmentation is fabulous and this will last an awful long time so well worth the price.
The other item I picked up (remember buy one get one half price in Boots at the minute) was the Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL. (It that name alone doesn’t draw you in I don’t know what will!!) Its a known joke in this house that I would love bigger lips and have tried all kinds of things to make them bigger – I have yet to resort to sucking in a bottle top aka Kylie Jenner challenge so don’t worry too much I haven’t flipped…yet! When I saw this I thought why not, what do I have to lose, the little diagram on the side makes it look like it really does plump up the lips and that is what I am after so yes, get in my basket!
On arriving home I immediately applied some and waited for the pucker to appear. OK, so its not exactly a full on Kylie pout but it darn well works – I was super impressed! First of all you feel a slight tingle and be careful not to lick your lips other wise you get the weirdest sensation on your tongue! The tingling soon turns quite intense but not in a painful way just in a wow I really can’t ignore you can I kind of way! After around 5/10 minutes I checked my lip in the mirror and they were more plump and less lined than what they are with normal lip gloss. They felt a lot fuller and had a very healthy shine which stayed for at least a few hours through drinking and eating lunch. I noticed they had a couple of coloured Pillow Plump too – I picked up Clairvoyant which is a simple clear gloss but now I know they do work and the shine stays for a while I will add the other two to my ‘pick up’ list!

What a lovely post. I also keep
Forgetting soap and glory is more than a skincare range. I think it’s because of the name I always bypass it whenever I’m in boots. I should take a look next time and see what treats I can find in there.
