For as long as i can remember I have lived with people taller than me which in the grand scheme of things is no big issue, it helps when it comes to getting things from the top shelf and reaching things I can’t normally. Of course there is a downside too in that mirrors are always way too high – I have an OK forehead but not the only thing I want to see!
When we moved I made a vow that my bathroom would be perfect FOR ME! I am only living with people who are smaller than I am so I guess I am the grown up now and I am that go to person for high shelves etc too! Eek!
I was asked to review an LED mirror from Lumino and knew straight away that I would opt for one of the LED battery operated lights, I love the old Hollywood style lights down each side of the mirror and the fact it is powered by AA batteries is a bonus. The LEDs have a lifespan of over 100,000 hours so won’t be wearing out anytime soon either.
Stuart came over and fit it for me as I was worried I would hit the water pipes when drilling into the walls but he informed me of how to check for pipes and wires etc and after drilling a couple of holes, popped in rawl plugs and screws. A simply up and over clip meant the mirror is securely attached to the wall on either side of the mirror and I feel it is secure enough for the children to switch on and off too.
The fact you don’t have to move it away from the wall to switch it on is perfect. It is an easy to flick on/off switch underneath. The lights really do illuminate the room well in daylight to give superb detail and after having just the mirror lights on when I hit the bath I can safely say it is my new relaxation piece too – forget the candles, I am now set for a chill out session without the fear of setting something alight!
Priced at £109.99 I think this is a great statement piece for any modern bathroom.

I was sent the mirror for the purposes of the review, all views and opinions are my own and genuine.
