One of my wants for 2017 was to read more and thankfully for Christmas I received the fabulous Unmumsy Mum book. It’s a super easy book to read and has already had me laughing out loud and nodding along with some of the context.
Sitting reading Twitter the other night it lit up with the whole Sherlock season 4 spoilers. To be honest we stopped watching at the end of season 1, this wasnt due to not liking it or anything just purely down to either clashes of programme or something else….either way we never managed to pick it back up and are now 3 seasons behind! Starting last week we decided to watch it again from the very beginning, Season one is once again under the belt and we are now 4 episodes into season 2!
After making a vow to have completely clean work benches at the end of the day I moved the hi-fi into the kitchen. This has resulted in a sparkling kitchen every night as I’m in there dancing around and cleaning to Bruno Mars, Unorthodox Jukebox. His new CD is on my wishlist and I am on Amazon Prime so going to check and see if I can download that!
A MESS! That’s what the kids have done this past week. I don’t know if it’s the whole post Christmas/too many toys/OMG where do i put all this feeling or whether its plain and simply that my kids are messy buggers but boy this past week they have been on fine form! I am so looking forward to them having a routine of school and getting everything in place again – I love holidays but I love routine that little bit more!
We have been dragging out the matching Christmas dresses before putting them away for the year (walking round in summer wearing Santa isn’t going to go down too well is it!)
My vow of healthy eating, or at least conscious choices of my food has been going really well. I have upped my intake of prawns/salmon and I seem to have a real thing for melon at the minute which is great as that is what I am having for breakfast. (I usually skip breakfast so yay me!) Tesco have these Naked Noodle pots on for only 85p at the minute too so that went down well with the shopping budget this week.
XOXO
Debbie

Happy New Year! Sherlock took me a little getting into too, but I must admit I really quite like it now
Sitting watching it now, half way through season 2 so hoping to catch up soon lol
Looks like you’ve had a fun week, and well done with the healthy eating xx
Thank you Naomi – I am trying to do well, for some reason i think this time it might work! lol
This is a great idea. I also need to take part in some linkies this year. What a nice idea to reflect on the week. I might join you in this one.x
I think this might be the one linky i will stick with!
I have only see the first couple of episodes of Sherlock and I love it, only I didn’t get the time to watch, my husband bought me seasons 1-3 for Christmas so I can’t wait to have a watch! And well done with the healthy eating too!
I’m all caught up now – didn’t realise there’s only 3 episodes per series so it was pretty quick to get up to date!
We didn’t get around to getting matching Xmas dresses – next year!! x
YES! Its a new tradition we are going to do each year – well until shes old enough to tell me to stop it! ha

I still haven’t read the Unmumsy Mum book and really want to – this will hopefully give me a nudge!
It really is a good read!
I listened to a podcast featuring the Unmumsy Mum recently and do need to buy her book as she was so real and warm.
I have the same problems with our Christmas clothes, I want to get as much wear as possible but I think Little Man’s Christmas tree jumper needs to go away now. Little Miss’ Christmas jumper was pink with snowflakes so I think we’ve got a few more months wear from it.
Oh gosh yes get that jumper worn, I think our elf pjs will be an all year round wear as they are just too comfy! lol
Welcome to Little Loves, I’m so happy that you’re joining in.
I know just what you mean about the Christmas mess, I still don’t feel like I’ve fully got on top of it all. My children are ridiculously messy leave mess in their wake through out the house!
Well done on your healthy eating, I’m going to be keeping an eye out for those noodle pots.
Have a lovely week x
I love #littleloves and will def be keeping it up 🙂 Thanks for hosting!
