I was brought up with a mother who loved to wallpaper and there was never plain painted walls, no bare space just wall after wall of beautifully decorated structure. One of my huge loves in life is decorating, painting and wallpapering etc and giving something a room a make over, it is something i really miss now that we live in private rent. However the trend for fully wallpapered homes seems to have disappeared with the option of just one focal wall becoming fashionable.
A focal wall is something that appeals to a lot of people as there is much more scope for design than repetitive print of paper. Pixers are one company that focus on photographic prints for your wall, imagine waking up on a morning and seeing a walkway to paradise, having a sushi bar in your kitchen or the New York skyline in your living room. The possibilities are endless!
There is a huge amount to choose from, separated into drop down boxes titled Destinations, Themes and Collections which contain everything from Alice and Fairy Tales to Disco or even Lick it! Your choice of any picture or photo is able to be printed on to Pixerstick which is peelable, meaning that you can reposition if you wish to chance location or live in rented accommodation – this is something we are looking at as I am desperate to get rid of the magnolia walls! Also available in vinyl, canvas, pvc and acrylic there really is something for every need depending on where and how you wish to use your Pixer Wall Mural.
Another bonus to the Pixer wall murals is that they are able to be cleaned with either a dry microfiber cloth if using the sticker version or a damp cloth if using the vinyl or canvas murals. This would be such a great feature in our home as little hands always seem to find my clean walls, whether they are covered in chocolate or mud it doesn’t seem to matter – the walls are the perfect place for dirty little finger prints!
Having looked through the website I can safely say that we will most definitely be trying out the peelable so we can take it with us if we do eventually move on, Evie has chosen the cityscape which you can colour in – how cool is that! A wall mural you can actually colour in!
XOXO
