Sometimes I think its easy to forget that Valentines day is meant to be about both women and men. The day is predominantly marketed at women with roses and chocolate, sexy underwear and relaxation sessions. Couples gifts are huge and of course having something that you both enjoy is great but what about getting the man in your life something of his own?
I have put together a little gift guide to give a few ideas of what to treat him to so that he feels special too come February 14th.
Underwear: Just like we feel good in new underwear this works both ways, walking around in grotty old boxers that have seen better days is no way to kick start a night of romance. Why not treat him to some new undies in the hope of making him feel sexy too? If he is normally a tight pants man get him some boxers to enhance that free feeling! A good set of snug fitting cotton hipsters like these from Jacamo can look a whole sight more attractive than baggy woven shorts.
Jewelry: Specifically cuff links or an engraved watch. Not many people wear cuff links these days and there is certainly a lack of shirts with the cuffs needed for such fabulous pieces. However, as with the jewelry I keep for special occasions it is always a nice idea to have some on hand for a the finishing touches to a wedding outfit or similar event. If they are made to your own specifications, with your initials intertwined or wedding date etc this will mean more to them when they do finally get the chance to wear them. A watch can be worn either every day or again kept for special occasions, likewise, if it is engraved with a special sentiment, quote or date then it holds even more value.
Experience Day: Giving someone a gift doesn’t always have to be about the physical item, sometimes a day out is worth so much more and the memories you get to keep last forever. Why not sneak in a few questions as to what would be on their bucket list? Sky diving, rally day, diving lessons… something that you wouldn’t normally do on a date night. Go for it, they say that adrenaline makes you feel sexy too … win win!
I hope this has given a couple of ideas to make the day special for both of you, remember you get to reap the benefits of him feeling sexy and loved too!
XOXO
