I have to admit I am one of those present givers who doesn’t need an excuse, if I see something I think a person would like, I tend to get it for them anyway. I am not the only one, who when Valentines day rolls around finds it a huge excuse to spoil those I love, its not about huge and expensive lavish gifts, its about showing them you are thinking about them and choosing things you know they will love too.
With that in mind I have put together a Valentine gift guide which features some of my favourite gifts to give. Some I have featured in the past as I have purchased from them before and others are new discoveries, I hope you find at least a little inspiration here to spoil someone you love this year too!
First up is the ever amazing gift experience from BuyAGift, I adore that there is literally something for everyone on this site. Whether it be parachute jumps, race car driving or something a little more romantic like a candle lit dinner for two. This is something I decided upon as you pay a set fee for a 3 course meal and drinks which is below what you would normally spend on a night out – bonus!
A new company I have just discovered and can tell I will be using again are the fabulous The Book of Everyone. These personalised books have pages inside that you can edit online and contain a mine of information about the recipient. Everything from the date they spent as a single cell to number of person on earth they were at time of birth. Everything about their age and what happened when they were born through to facts and information about their lives right now. No one else will have the same book EVER and I think that is a pretty amazing gift! rrp: from £23.99 My readers can get 30% discount at checkout too with code LOVE30PR
Everyone loves gin and what better way to kick off Valentines night than making your own fruity cocktails. White Heron Drinks have put together the ultimate Cocktail Mixer set containing a miniature bottle of gin and two bottles of Cassis, there is a drinks mat inside the lid and mini recipe to make The British Bramble. rrp: £18 from White Heron Drinks
One thing I know always goes down well is fudge! Not just any fudge either, this is Fudge Kitchen! They have been hand making fresh fudge in their seven shops for 35 years; using an authentic 1800s American recipe and traditional production methods. The flavours are absolutely amazing and they have won numerous awards too which is testament to the company. They have released a special Valentine’s offer which includes an incredible dairy-free selection to spread that love even further … rrp: £17 for a box of 4 (yes one was eaten before we got to photograph – it was that yummy!)
One hamper company that I return to use over and over again are the fabulous Spicers of Hythe and I am yet to be disappointed. This delicious Valentines Temptations hamper which contains everything from spiced biscuits to fudge and chocolate is only £14.95 so a great gift for those looking to add an additional tasty gift for their loved ones. Packaged in a bright red box with shredded tissue and the contents wrapped in tissue, this really is the cutest hamper ever.
Being a huge fan of the odd tipple now and again I was delighted to see this amazing gift set from Kings Ginger. The King’s Ginger is a distinctive, golden spirit with a spicy ginger emphasis and delightfully crisp flavour. This year’s most popular serve is the King’s & Tonic, an intriguing and colourful twist on the classic G&T and the perfect aperitif for any and all social occasions. There is a whole host of recipes too including Kings Fizz, a little of the Kings Ginger in a glass and topped up with bubbly! I can’t wait to break this out and can see it becoming a staple in my home bar. rrp: £23.99
Crunchy honeycomb pieces smothered in Lily O’Brien’s uniquely delicious milk chocolate. Each box contains 12 crispy hearts. “A true lover of life – always on the invitation list!”, and if you’ve got someone who’s partial to a sweet treat, then the Lily O’Brien’s – The Exquisite Edition is the ultimate gift to share with your loved ones. rrp: £4.50
Ideal for Valentines day with the beautiful hues of Pink and glorious silver glint, this delicious wine is soft and semi-sweet with fresh strawberry and a hint of orange zest to taste. Martini Rose Demi Sec has a fine balance of delicious fruit and refreshing acidity, it can be served as an apéritif, straight up or on ice. Excellent with seafood pasta or Strawberry desserts. rrp: £12.99 from Ocado
When giving gifts I love them to be as personal as possible and what better way to make it all about them than giving in a gift bag emblazoned with their name! Vanilla Reindeer are a fabulous company who create personalised and unique gifts that can be delivered direct to the recipient. I managed to complete my order on my mobile phone too which is a huge plus point as most of the time I am out and about. The website was really easy to use with no hoops to jump through and I am really impressed with the quality of the items I received. I order the medium gift bag and box of chocolates which have both photo and personal message on them. The print is clear and it was great value for money. Highly recommended! rrp: Prices from £6.99
One thing I would love to receive is a jewellery box, its on thing I don’t really have! Don’t get me wrong, I have trinket boxes and trays etc but nothing really nice to keep everything in. This is why when I saw this stunning Rose Gold Personalised Jewellery Box from Personally Presented I just knew it was a must have to add to the list of gifts. With personalisation of up to 50 letters the world is your oyster and you can either choose to emblazon it with the recipients name, declaration of love or something a little more creative. I chose ‘There is no such thing as too much jewellery’ because lets face it…. its true! rrp: £32.49
This book sounds like something that probably does go on in the world which is the scary thing, its a fiction book but I really can imagine this is what goes on behind closed doors. The most notorious of the Hexagon Clubs is in London: exclusive, expensive, and catering to very rich men who seek endless highs in their nightly sexual sports. The super-rich elite travel constantly, wealthy scavengers looking for the next fix, the next sexual partner and a better, more expensive orgasm. There is no end to their greed and sexual extravagance. rrp: £14.99 from Literally PR
I love a good book and this one had me hooked from the quote, “He’d thought himself the hunter, that I was easy prey but what he hadn’t bargained for, was contending with a woman who hadn’t eaten a square meal in twenty-four hours. I get mean when I’m hungry.” That kind of sums me up in one sentence! rrp: £9.99 from Literally PR

I hope that has given you some inspiration for something a little different, let me know what you are up to this Valentines day!

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
Some fantastic idea here. I really like the jewelry box! I know the wife would love that!
Some fab ideas here we love The Book of Everyone and Spicers of Hythe too!
Really great ideas here, that hamper is giving me life and wouldn’t mind receiving that for Valentines Day
