OK, so stereotypes are always going to be conjured when you hear about something you have only ever seen on TV, but who in their right mind would turn down the opportunity to actually try their hand (or feet) at something you wouldn’t come across in every day life!

Classes typically run from 45 minutes to an hour and a half and you will be encouraged to swap partners and have a go at dancing with everyone. The lesson has the emphasis on fun so is lighthearted and you’re not going to be yelled at if you step on your partners feet – thank goodness! lol As long as you are over 18 you are welcome and everyone is encouraged to join in, no qualifications or previous dance experience is necessary.
With various locations around the UK it is worth checking to see if one is available near you, I was pleasantly surprised to find there were classes in Durham when I thought the nearest would be held in Newcastle.
With lots of fabulous reviews for the Durham group on their page it comes highly recommended as both the teachers and music are something to enjoy, talented and helpful professionals who host the classes and then turn over to social dancing where everyone dances with everyone else.
