Our lives can be hectic and stressful at times, and it’s important to remember that you need to take time for yourself once in a while. For some mum, their busy lives mean they have little time for themselves, but that doesn’t mean they can’t enjoy experiences like beauty treatments.
While the current Covid-19 pandemic means that beauty and cosmetic clinics have been forced to close, there is hope they will be open again soon with the necessary steps taken to keep staff and clients safe as we continue to move towards beating this virus. While clinics are closed, we wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some treatments which could be ideal for busy mums who maybe don’t have a lot of time on their hands.
CoolSculpting
You may have heard about this treatment but perhaps know it as fat freezing. This non-surgical alternative to liposuction is popular because of the results that can be achieved in a far less stressful way. The treatment uses controlled cooling in specific areas to crystalise fat cells which are then removed from your body naturally thanks to your lymphatic system.
A fat freezing treatment can last between 35-60 minutes, and because it is non-invasive, there is no need to spent time recovering after a treatment session. This allows you to go about the rest of your day and see the results over the coming weeks.
Laser Hair Removal
If you find yourself continually battling unwanted body hair, laser hair removal can offer a permanent solution. Not only is the treatment time for a laser hair removal session short, anywhere between 15-60 minutes depending on the size of the treatment area, but it will continue to save you time in the future.
For busy mums who could be spending the time taken to shave areas of their body doing other things for their family or simply having that time to themselves to relax, this could be a real help.
Microneedling
With various benefits such as reducing the appearance of lines, wrinkles and even stretch marks, microneedling is a fantastic treatment that may sound stressful, but in reality, it isn’t. A microneedling session can last up to 1 hour and has very little recovery time, typically just 1-2 hours.
The treatment involves tiny punctures being made in your skin by needles. This stimulates the skin to produce collagen while also encouraging the skin to repair and regenerate itself. After a treatment, you should not put makeup on while also avoiding direct sunlight on the treated area.
LED Light Therapy
Taking as little as 15 minutes in some cases, LED Light Therapy is a great way to combat the signs of ageing. Using different light frequencies, this painless treatment is suitable for all skin types and can be used on your face and body.
While multiple sessions may be required for the best possible results, the session times are not long (with a maximum time of around 45 minutes). Unlike microneedling, you can put some makeup back on and carry on with your day.
Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer before clinics offering these treatments and others can reopen. With Mother’s Day coming up, it could be a nice idea to look into these treatments as a treat for yourself or a loved one when the time allows!
Thanks to Aesthetics Lab, an award winning cosmetic clinic based in London, for helping us put this article together. They offer microneedling in London and all the other treatments mentioned above.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
