Something I have wanted to do for a while now is take the children to London, they have seen me pop off on my days away for work etc and have always begged to come. As much as I have thoroughly enjoyed my days in the big smoke they have always been purely work for me and I have neglected to visit some of the main tourist places due to wanting to do them with family.

I think Autumn, maybe even later at just the start of Winter is a great time to visit. Christmas pieces are popping up in shops and decorations are being hung, there is a whole feel of festiveness and everyone seems generally a little more happy too.
Since we will be visiting London in late October/early November I have compiled a list of our must do bucket list for our first family visit!

M&M World, Leicester Square: Who doesn’t love M&Ms especially the peanut ones! This is top of the list for the kids as well as me, I would love some of those candy dispensers in our home lining the walls in their multicoloured stripes! My aim for the girls birthdays are to have a pure pink party with dispensers of pink M&Ms so this is my starting point for planning our party mood boards for next year too.
Madame Tussauds, MaryleBone: There is no way the kids would let us visit London and not call to Madame Tussauds! We have seen programmes where it shows the making of the waxworks, have seen people posing in Instagram pictures with their favourite stars and the girls would really love to have their photographs taken with Zoella and Taylor Swift! Personally I would love to get up close and personal with Tom Hiddleston and Angelina Jolie!
The London Eye is of course a must, although I am not sure if I can stomach the heights and I have been told it goes round so slowly that you feel there really is no escape once you are at the top!

Borough Market: I have heard so much about the glorious food and drink available from the many talented stall holders at Borough Market and I would love to try some, I find the best things to do when in a new place is to sample local delicacies etc. Having celebrated its 1000th birthday in 2014 it is safe to say it is a well loved venue and I can’t wait to find out why!
We are hoping to do a little Christmas shopping while there so no doubt the obligatory visit to Harrods and Harvey Nicks will take place, not forgetting Hamleys too! To save a few pennies to get those treats means we will need to shop around for discounts on the activities and experiences in the capital and make some savings to the city’s iconic tourist destinations.
Where is on your bucket list? Have you visited most of the tourist destinations?
XOXO
Debbie
