The launch of Ninja Burger took place at No 28 in Newcastle last night and was met with a warm reception by everyone!
The Newcastle based company use North East suppliers including meat from Gosforth’s Charlotte’s Butchery and buns baked in Kingston Park… HUGE thumbs up for supporting local!
Taking a night out from family life I teamed up with a lovely friend who now has the blogging bug to enjoy a couple of glasses of Prosecco and sliders to sample the Ninja Burger menu. First up was a deliciously perfect burger patty, which is approx 50% shortrib, 25% chuck, 25% brisket and cooked ‘sous vide’ (under pressure) to ensure each burger is properly cooked without overcooking the outside and retaining moisture.
Next up was a chicken slider, the chicken burgers are also just as succulent, since they have been brined for extra juiciness, marinated in buttermilk and fried in popcorn crust.
Seriously the mustard and mayo addition is to die for and has made me a huge fan of this dressing!
I have never laughed so hard in a long time but when it came to comparing this gentleman certainly was on top form! The challengers had to take part in a chilli chicken Russian roulette game but none seemed too moved by the ghost chilli chicken…or even the chilli shot!! I would have been rolling on the floor!
Vegetarians were also catered for with a delicious looking homemade falafel burger! We heard great reports about these, beautifully fragrant with a delicious spice it was nice to see such attention paid to the vegetarian option for a change.
Ninja burger will be permanently situated inside No 28 and you can guarantee they will have a whole host of new customers judging by the comments last night!
XOXO
