I have partnered up with lights by TENA to get everyone talking about what No One Told Me! Being women we all will experience periods, delicate pelvic floors (especially if we have children!) and other things that people shy away from talking about. Personally I am proud of being unafraid of approaching these issues on my blog and if i can get you talking about your stories too then perhaps the stigma surrounding these issues will lift!
Do you have anything that No One Told You about?! Do you still get spots, have you got grey hairs earlier than expected, do you have a funny tale that you can now laugh about? Share your story for a chance to win a Grand Prize of an overnight UK city break with £500 Selfridge’s vouchers or a weekly prize of £50 LovetoShop vouchers.
Go to noonetoldme.co.uk for a chance to share your story. Sharing your story will help others be more confident about these changes so we can embrace them.
Lately I have been wondering where the time is going, the answer is I really don’t know but its going too fast!
Seasons seem to be flying past, months are blurring and Christmas will be here before we know it! This got me thinking about living in the now and moments that matter! No one told me that time passed this quickly and I for one want to remember and pass on some of the words of wisdom that I have learned through the years…then you don’t have the excuse that No One Told Me because I WILL!
No One Told Me…you really need to celebrate the little things! Whether it’s a cuddle with your little ones first thing in the morning or last thing at night, actually be in that moment. Feel the hug, feel the unconditional love, be still and let them break free first. Don’t hurry along wishing them asleep, TV can wait, a cup of coffee and peace can wait. Hug them while they are willing to do it freely because as they get bigger those hugs get less frequent!
No One Told Me… You are just as fabulous as the next person! Whether you look up to stars, Inspirational people or simply peers… you are just as worthy as they are. They are people living their lives, doing what they love which just happens to draw a large audience! They struggle with the same fears and day to day issues we do, they still put their trousers on one leg at a time and they actually have to face a lot more criticism and judging than we do so really who would you rather be! Having spent time with several ‘names’ I can safely say the ones that are successful are the same on screen as off (thankfully I had my lights by TENA with me for the meeting with Ainsley!)
Most Importantly!!
No One Told Me…Well actually they did tell me to practice pelvic floor exercises when I was pregnant but what they didn’t tell me was the times it would take me by complete surprise! I’m talking never being able to jump on a trampoline with the kids EVER AGAIN, not being able to sneeze without having to let out a little squeal and cross my legs. Not being able to giggle without having to break the sound barrier running to the toilet for fear of tears running down your legs!
Remember to pop over to noonetoldme.co.uk and share your stories – together we can make these issues a little less taboo!
XOXO
Debbie
