We have so many plans for this coming summer, our eldest is turning 21 so we would love to be able to have a garden party for him and all the family. Im thinking fun for the kids during the day and then BBQ at night with music, fairy lights and drinking until the early hours sitting out watching the sun set and putting the world to rights.
Our garden overlooks a huge field with houses in the distance so privacy is not an issue and we would love to have a pergola, covered with growing vines and flowers, interspersed with twinkling lights. Somewhere for us to sit, make new memories and celebrate not only birthday milestones but any sunshine we may get here in the UK – lets be honest its few and far between so we have to make the most of it.
To prep for the summer we need to start now and get plans in place, our home is rented so we need to work out what work we can do that we could possibly take with us should we move next summer (our contract is only in place until mid 2018). First up is storage, we need somewhere to keep the lawnmower and garden equipment so basics before we start work, plus a shed or wall store would be able to be taken with us.
Ground work would need to be done as our patio is very unstable and theres nothing good about trying to drink wine on a wonky chair! Unstable ground is also not going to work if we want that pergola too.
Next up would be the planting and based around what we could take with us that means containers, planters and possibly raised beds. Im not too sure how raised beds would be able to be moved but it is something that we have wanted for a long time as the girls love being in the garden and watching things grow. To be able to plant their own seeds and watch veg and fruit grow that they have tended to themselves would be such an educational experience as well as teaching them how to care for something long term too.
Flowers play a huge part in our lives as they are always something we have had around the home, I have to admit I am the least green fingered with plants in the home but fresh cut flowers last as long as they say on the packet! Outdoors I would love to have the opportunity to have a garden full of colour and scent, the amount of times I have walked past neighbours gardens and stood in awe as they work on them, spending time tending the flower beds and I look at mine…all weeds and grass. If I put it in writing it has to be done right?!
One thing I remember about growing up is that mum and dad always had an immaculate garden, steps up to 3 seperate tiers, one section lawned, another filled with flowers and the last was split into a greenhouse section at one side and swing on the other. I would love to be able to show mum just how capable I am in the garden and that at least a little of her greenfingered wonder passed down to me!
So, plans for summer garden prep:
Garden Storage
Planters/flowers
Paving
Pergola
Knowing we can take the majority with us should we move will be a good selling point to hubby as he hates to think we will only have something we have worked so hard on for a year!
Garden Party Summer 2017 here we come!
XOXO

Vacations are back, and if you have a destination spot, like Disney, it may be time to consider a Disney Timeshare for your vacation accommodations. First take a look at timeshare resales, as they offer a great price and an affordable entry point into the timeshare marketplace.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
