Having concentrated on the rest of my home for the past year I finally think its time to get myself some wardrobes and bedroom decor! Having used one of those clothing rails since I moved here in July last year I really do think its time I was grown up enough to buy myself a piece of furniture that will be for me, not for the girls or for use in the house in general but solely for me!
Being a huge fan of skirts and dresses I really need somewhere to hang them all so a wardrobe with lots of space and less shelving would be perfect, I love the ones you can design yourself and have been looking at furniture stores in Glasgow to get some ideas for kind of space saving storage I need.

Once the wardrobe is sorted I will know how much floor space I have left and what size rug I can get, I adore the patchwork multi colour style ones and since most of the decor in the bedroom is beige I have pretty much free reign colour wise. Blue is calming so this is something I always look for when it comes to accessories and I have fallen in love with this Kaleidoscope rectangular rug which would be a great statement piece.

Just like I feel rugs add a lot of warmth to a room I also think that throws and bedspreads are essential too. I loved it when I was younger and mum would put sheets on the bed instead of a duvet, there is something about sheets that give an olde word feel and provides a level of comfort. This is why I love a throw across the bottom of the bed, so that if I am snuggled watching a movie I can just pull the throw over me. The fact knitted blankets etc are all back in fashion thrills me as I love a good cable knit piece that will stand the test of time and can be used anywhere around the house, from the bottom of the bed to sitting outside with a glass of wine!

I can just picture how the bedroom is going to look once it is finished and I am very excited to get started!
XOXO
Debbie
