Buy A Lady A Drink!
The great thing about blogging is that it gives you a voice for things you believe in and causes that you care about. Water.org have been developing an delivering solutions to the global water crisis for more than 20 years. Every person on this planet, man, woman and child deserve to have clean water and its one thing that is taken for granted in our every day routines here in the UK. I have been lucky enough to be contacted by both Stella Artois and Water.org to help promote the fabulous campaign ‘Buy A Lady A Drink‘!
Stella Artois launches Limited Edition Chalices in partnership with Water.org
Every Limited Edition Stella Artois Chalice purchased will help provide five years of clean water for one person in the developing world*

2016 sees the return of the Stella Artois ‘Buy A Lady a Drink’ campaign in partnership with Water.org, following the huge success of the 2015 launch. The campaign centres on a series of beautifully designed Limited Edition Chalices designed by artists from this year’s focus countries. Stella Artois is encouraging people to purchase an iconic Limited Edition Stella Artois Chalice to help provide those in the developing world with access to clean water. For every Chalice purchased, Stella Artois will help Water.org provide five years of clean water for one person in the developing world.
Each Limited Edition Chalice design reflects the artist’s interpretation of their culture and water problems faced by their country. This year’s three focus countries are: Kenya, which continues to suffer from drought; Peru, where geographic isolation causes many women to lack easy access to safe water; and Haiti, where water contamination has resulted in public health issues and personal suffering
Each Limited Edition Chalice design reflects the artist’s interpretation of their culture and water problems faced by their country. This year’s three focus countries are: Kenya, which continues to suffer from drought; Peru, where geographic isolation causes many women to lack easy access to safe water; and Haiti, where water contamination has resulted in public health issues and personal suffering.

Kenya Kenyan artist Wini Awunodo’s work is centred on her love of all things African. Wini’s art tells a story that is unapologetically creative in the face of hardship, and this is reflected within her design of the Limited Edition Chalice.
Originally, Peruvian artist Daniel Cortez Torres created murals by painting portraits of fallen gang members in tribute to them. His unique mural style is characterised by the incorporation of native figures and the colourful palette of the Peruvian culture to establish a dialogue between the city and its people.
Peru Daniel extended his visual language to the design of his Limited Edition Chalice, incorporating the mountains in Peru and the women who have to traverse them for water.
A great portion of the Kenyan population lives without fresh water and women are the most affected as they spend the majority of their time walking to collect clean water. Wini chose to paint the beauty of water as the source of life and women holding that power in their hands.
Haiti Within her design for the Limited Edition Chalice, Haiti-born Michele Manuel’s artwork reflects the diminishing water sources in her country, as well as the springs which are in danger due to deforestation. Inspired also by the reservoirs in the rainforest which are not supplying enough water for the people of Haiti due to the disrupted rain season, Michele has created a beautiful and iconic Limited Edition Chalice.
The cause is very close to her heart as more than half of the population in Haiti don’t have access to clean drinking water. Michele owns a business called Simbi (meaning Goddess of Water) delivering filtered water to orphanages and schools.
