As much as we would all love a lie in or a trip to the bathroom by ourselves we know that isnt going to happen! Just give in to the forces of motherhood right now on that score and make a list of goodies that they could supply you with instead, Im sure hubby will breathe a sigh of relief at not being relegated to child rangler while you try and take a bath alone!
Here is my guide for what I have my eye on this year, there are 5 categories that should be covered in my opinion for all women – cover these bases and you will have a happy momma!
I don’t just mean pick up some limp bunch of daffs from a garage forecourt either! Something that we can keep, whether it be the planter they come in or a little stalk saying ‘to my favourite mum’ lol Its the little touches that mean the most and how beautiful is this spring display from Next Flowers – that little beehive style vase is just too fab!

This is the most adorable little silver birds nest with little silver affirmation birds for £25 which are next on my wishlist!

One of my huge addictions in life is candles! Something about having a delicious aroma in my home just fills me with joy! I go through tubs, jars, melts, you name it at break neck speed and always have at least one lit in both the living room and the kitchen at any given time. My whole family know my love of smellies so to receive a bespoke candle would be such a treat! This one is from Not On The Highstreet, can be personalised and is priced at £24.50.

OK so we all know time alone long enough to have a bath or anything substantial just isnt going to happen but how about a little treat while lying in bed (yes you could even use it while arguing with hubby about whos turn it is to get up and see to the little one – we all do it!) The new TheraPearl Eye-ssential Mask can be used either hot or cold, the packs are designed to stay at optimum temperature for a minimum of 20 minutes so enough time to lie back and chill out!

Believe it or not there were some fabulous inventions around before you were born – yes im talking to all our children here, the ones who think that there have always been mobile phones and 5 million tv channels. Back when Snickers were called Marathons and Starburst were Opal Fruits we also had such a thing as a dial up telephone! I use to love playing with ours and if I was pretending to be posh i would pop a pencil into the number hole and dial that way – otherwise you just stuck your finger in and spun it round lol I found these fabulous phones on Red Candy and think I need one for my office – I can pretend im back in the 80s and may even get a perm to celebrate!

Whatever you receive for mothers day, whether it be flowers, jewellery or a piece of soggy toast with luke warm coffee remember it was given with love and hug those kiddos – give them a big squeeze and tell them they are worth every second, because without them well, it wouldn’t be Mothers Day!
XOXO
Debbie

That jewellery is really lovely. I thin the blue colour to some of the stones looks great. These would be perfect for my friends 40th birthday gift.
