As the title says I was challenged by The Silk Bedding Company, Gingerlily to create a floral piece to coincide with Chelsea Flower Show. All of the details can be found on their blog, there will be a new post up soon detailing all of the lovely makes from other bloggers too!
We were supplied with oasis, fishing wire, a glue gun, pipe cleaners and silk flowers. Having worked with a glue gun lots in the past this got me excited to make a start! I knew exactly the route I wanted to take and set about cutting the flowers down to size.
I have a love of paper crafts and pearls always feature heavily when I work so I tried to incorporate some of my usual craft supplies within this project.

A simply black and white photo works best with these flowers as the soft lilac and deep purple in the heads really pop against the muted colours of the photograph and background.
We were going to try and get to Chelsea Flower Show this year but yet again time has worked against us and we just haven’t gotten round to it! Thank you so much to Gingerlily for bringing a little bit of it into our home!
XOXO
Debbie
