When I think back to receiving my first piece of jewellery I am sure it was a locket. I always wanted one to keep photos inside of myself and then boyfriend, I can’t even remember if I ever put a photo inside as they were always too small. Back then you couldn’t just resize pictures on the internet for this kind of thing. You had to take the pictures, go to a chemist to get them developed, most were out of shot and if you took them from far enough away to fit into a locket they were undoubtedly blurred!

Though times change some trends stay the same and I think as long as we want to carry photos around in our purses and wallets there is reason enough to bring back personalised lockets. The Engravers Guild believe that an engraved locket is one of the most personal items of jewellery possible… but feel that this type of jewellery has been somewhat overlooked of late and is now due a bit of a renaissance!

I was delighted to be sent one of their rose gold lockets engraved with the initials S & D, although we are not together anymore S is still a huge part of my life and father to all 6 of our children, so will always be in my life too and I thought a locket engraved with our initials was a perfect keepsake.

On a beautifully delicate chain this necklace makes a great piece of jewellery that would work well either dressed up or down and can obviously worn either with the swirl engraved front or initials on display. With oval, heart, circle and drum lockets available in gold, silver and rose gold there is ample choice for anyone wanting a classic timeless piece to keep.
XOXO
Debbie

I love lockets! I have one that was a present for my 18th birthday and it is so special to me.
I can remember receiving a locket when I was younger, it took ages to find a photo the right size to fit inside
Oh this is simply beautiful! I love that it can be personalised and it would make a very special Mother’s Day present 🙂
I love lockets, they are so personal. This one is gorgeous!
You’ve reminded me. I have my mum’s gold heart pendant. When she died my dad gave it to me. I wore it every day for a while but the chain broke and I was in fear of losing it so I put it away. I need to repair/replace the chain and start wearing it again
I am a sucker for good jewellery and love it, even more, when it has been personalised.
Oh that is gorgeous! My first ever piece of jewellery was a locket, I still have it!
I love the look of this jewellery. So pretty and I like the fact that it is personalised.
