Back again with my Friday update and this week seems to have been all about new looks! First up is my bedroom and it is a complete break from the norm for me, I’m a shabby chic, pinks and cream girl at heart yet I have gone all dark and moody with my new look room.
Thanks to the lovely Olga, the owner at Olenka Wallpapers, I have the most beautiful boutique bedroom and the urge to paint everything in the house black! The stunning Milana-Gold paper was a dream to put up and there is not a single blister or wrinkle in sight. The edges cut like a dream and the pattern was nigh on perfect for the drop, resulting in very minimal waste. This high end designer floral paper has certainly been a talking point lately and everyone who has seen is has commented on how beautiful and rich it looks. I will be sharing more images once the shelving goes up and the rest of the room is complete.

Last night was the annual Bridges Sunderland VIP Christmas night and we were invited along for a blogger special, where we were given hot chocolate from Hotel Chocolate, fizz from Debenhams and discount from multiple shops. In the past I have made comment on Gemma’s Instagram about needing to go shopping with her. She has the most amazing wardrobe and I would love for her to pick out some bits for me! Well, last night I was walking around H&M with a load of clothes draped over my arm and guess who I bumped in to! She said no to a couple of bits I was holding and shushed me when I said I was too old for t-shirt – skirt combo, thankfully I went to try them on and I actually loved it all!
I am however a little bit miffed that the black and white skirt was £34.99 in store yet only £24.99 online – this just goes to show why stores are dying a death and people prefer to order from home. £10 saving! Really H&M sort it out!

I have been stuck in such a rut, thinking I am getting older now so need to be more conservative and, well, boring. Now though I have a whole new perspective on what I can and can’t wear, I think I may step out of the box a little more often!
XOXO
Debbie
