Its that time of year again when the sun comes out and clothes get smaller and fewer, and suddenly you realise that maybe all that home comfort food during winter wasn’t exactly good for the waistline!
I’m there… I am SO THERE!
Add that to the fact I have been completely over indulging in good food for a while now with no concern for the scales then I think its time I took control!
And weighing in at 13st 7lb (ding ding ding) – I feel like i should be entering the boxing ring! This is by far the heaviest I have ever been without being pregnant and I am certainly NOT pregnant, unless you count the food baby I’ve been cultivating these past few months!
(…the fact I’ve just had to loosen my jeans while typing this is exactly WHY I’m typing this!!)
I have joined Slimming World and thanks to the fact that Iceland do the SW ready meals things seem to be going quite well this past week. While I have always been a firm believer of only cooking one meal for the family (if you don’t like it you know where the bread is for toast!) this means that I can still cook the rest of the families favourites while popping one of my weightloss meals in the microwave! So far I have tried a few and although a little spicy I am trying to plough through the burn as I know the spice will speed up weight loss.
On the exercise front I am trialing a treadmill for a month from Hire Fitness, which means I have a little less than a month to make the most of it! I have found my ideal programme which is a mix of walking and running – similar to the C25K programme I followed a little while ago. Granted its shown me just how unfit I really am right now but that will soon change and I can feel the effects already, I was a little less out of breath the last time I ran so it has to be working right?!
Once I have had a little success on the treadmill I will be taking to running outdoors with Amelia, I have the fabulous Thule Glide which will make things so much easier (and a little less bumpy for madam!), I will be popping up a full post on how I get on with it so stay tuned for that too!
Now I just need to work on the caffeine addiction and all will be well! The headaches though from withdrawal are just too much – any ideas to make it a little easier or do you just stick to it?
XOXO
Debbie
