Having spent the best part of the last two weeks clearing out my closet of all fast fashion and items that I have never even taken the tickets off, I managed to get rid of 2 black bags full of clothing. It made me realise I’m going through a stage in my life where I am looking for pieces that will stand the test of time and look good both during the day or dressed up with heals for dinner etc too.
Working with Pink Clove has given me the chance to work out exactly what kind of items I am comfortable in at the moment too. Having lost 3 stone last year, and put it all back on since Christmas, I am back to where I started but you know what…. I am pretty damn secure at the moment about my figure! I know I can lose weight and to be honest I wasn’t any happier when I was smaller! The dresses I tried were all size 16 and although they all fit perfectly, the jumpsuit I ordered was at least a foot too long! I am 5ft 1 and even with heels it swamped me!
The dresses however are absolutely gorgeous and so on trend at the moment with florals and animal prints. Having a bigger bust means that sometimes dresses simply hang off said cleavage and make me look bigger but wrap dresses highlight the important bits and nip in at the waste accentuating curves.
Both wrap dresses were meant to be worn without a top underneath, this was a little too low cut for me so I added a strapped top which covered my modesty a little for daytime wear!
I paired all of the dresses with a stunning pair of black high heels which has a cute little buckle strap around the ankle. The clear addition to the shoes made them feel really comfortable and added a little sass to what would have been another plain pair of black stilettos. It is the little touches that make a difference and I adore these.
