Every so often you find a pair of shoes that changes your life. A pair that fit so comfortably you feel like you are wearing slippers and really never want to take them off! I found this with Baabuk! Although I was sent this pair as part of a gift guide I felt they deserve to be shouted about in a stand alone post as they really are THAT comfortable!
I had never heard of 100% wool shoes, yes slippers, but never shoes! The story of Baabuk began with Galina and Dan making 100% woollen slippers in the country of wool, Nepal. They then chose Portugal to create their 100% woollen sneakers/trainers, after all Portugal has a rich history of shoe making. Boots came next and they have so many more ideas in the pipeline I am excited to see what is in the future!
Baabuk use 100% natural wool from healthy happy sheep to produce their shoes. Every effort is made to preserve the environment by committing to use sustainable and renewable resources such as sheep wool or natural latex.
Baabuk care about the people working for them. In the Nepal factory they receive higher than average salaried and have good working conditions. They guarantee that no children work in the workshop and that there are men and women in the staff.
The shoes I chose were Urban Wooler in light grey and they are a slip on trainer that feel like walking on air. I think one of my favourite things about Baabuk shoes is that they can be machine washed at 30 degrees. More often than not I have to hand clean shoes but I know that these are OK being thrown into the washing machine and will come out looking like new!
They have a special offer on their kids slippers, little ones feet grow so fast that they have an offer where you buy 2 sets and get one set free. You receive one set now, another set in a years time and then the final set after 2 years. This way you know your little one is kitted out with the most comfortable 100% woollen slippers for years to come!
I was gifted the slippers for the purpose of a gift guide, all views and opinions are my own and genuine.
For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
