I love these kinds of posts when I come across them on blogs or Youtube so thought I would throw myself to the lions and pop the top 5 programmes I am watching right now!
- American Horror Story – Season 1 Murder House. This is a quite surreal series that I managed to get through quite quickly what with there only being 13 episodes and me binge watching once the kids were in bed! It is all set in an old Victorian restored house that the Harmon family move in to without knowing the true history of all the deaths that have taken place inside. Not going to give anything away to those that haven’t yet seen it (although I am yet to speak to anyone who hasn’t!) but its safe to say it is freaky, weird, scary and makes for very addictive watching all rolled into one! I am now working my way through season 2 which is American Horror Story – Asylum but not getting into it as much as season 1!
- Once Upon A Time. The only way to sum this one up is ‘fairytales gone wild!’ It starts off with Emma Swann being reunited with her son who she gave up for adoption 10 years previous. He needs her help to release all the people stuck in the American town of StoryBrooke (an alternate reality for all the fairytale characters who don’t actually realise they are fairytale characters yet!) Yes it sounds weird but it is something that is watchable with Evie and she loves the characters and the fact it switches between the Storybook world and Storybrooke so you get to see both sides of the story.
- Bosch. This series stars the rather delicious Titus Welliver (yes I may have a little crush on the greying actor!) Ever since Lost/Prison Break/Sons of Anarchy I have loved everything he has been in so knew this would be no different, especially with him having the lead part. Bosch is based on the Michael Connelly books so will be well known in some circles, however never having read any of the books this is my first glimpse into the world of Harry Bosch. Thoroughly enjoying having something to watch with hubby once the kids are in bed and enjoying the suspense that Jason Gedrick brings as Raynard Waites!
- Mad Dogs (American Version) Last year we watched the UK Mad Dogs so when I was at mums recently and we were looking for something to watch we decided to catch it again. Little did we know that there was a US version and it was a pleasant surprise when it started – we knew the story as it went along but with tweaks here and there it put its own stamp on it which gave it a refreshing ability to be able to watched again without it being repetitive. In short 4 friends go out to a friends villa, he ends up dead and they end up in a whole heap of trouble!! If you haven’t seen this I urge you to watch it – funny and scary at how these seemingly innocent things ‘could’ so easily happen!
- Last but not least…. Supernatural! We are starting to watch this one tonight and I know that might seem like a funny one! You aren’t going to believe me when I tell you I have never seen it before and concidering my sister is a Supernatural addict I have done well to avoid it so far but I am actually looking forward to binge watching all seasons this autumn!
