I have to admit I am a bit of a light addict, whether its table lamps, hanging chandeliers or simple little touch lights in dark cupboards! The right lighting can make or break a room and is something worth taking time over when choosing.
Since my living room is quite small I need something that will add atmosphere and make it look cosy on a night without giving too much light. There really is nothing nicer than climbing out of the bath, slipping into clean pjs and settling on the sofa with a glass of wine and dimmed lights to watch the latest episode of Love Island (Don’t judge!) I have found a combo of candles and a 12W bulb in my corner standard lamp create just the right amount of glow needed.
Working from home means that I need to be sitting at the pc for hours on end some days so a good overhead light or lamp stops the strain on my eyes if I am working late. I have 2 daylight lamps, one either side of the pc that work amazingly well and come on automatically as the room starts to darken – this of course can have a downside too that I forget to stop and continue working into the early hours!
I love a good statement piece in the home and feel a sense of pride that I have worked hard to afford something that will be a permanent fixture. Being a magpie in a former life I have a tendency to swing toward the crystal and oversize pieces, think Only Fools & Horses Chandelier episode – if you are too young to know what I am talking about go google, its worth the search! Nothing says luxury like a crystal bedroom masterpiece that really does show I am a single girl and living life how I want too – sparkles in every room!
Now this is something that I am just starting to learn about. I have only just gotten into gardening and love the fact it is becoming an extension of my home, we spend so much time outdoors at the moment thanks to the fabulous weather we are having that none of us want to come inside on a night anymore! I have been looking at how we can incorporate something outdoors so that once the sun starts to set we can grab a couple of blankets and keep on chilling!

For those who prefer a more traditional home-like experience when on vacation, a timeshare can make sense. If you’ve gotten many years of good use out of your timeshare and now want to get rid of it, a timeshare cancellation company like Timeshare Freedom Group or Lonestar transfer may be able to help.
