This came around far too quickly! How quickly did my little girl turn 6!
Thursday was Evies birthday and with it came a flurry of everything pink and sparkly – she really is her mothers daughter!
Amelia, my mum and I popped in to town to get Evie a giant 6 balloon and some banners to pop up for her coming in from school, she had left for school on the morning without opening her pressies as she wanted to wait until daddy was home!
In amongst her presents were some of her favourite My Little Ponies, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle! At the moment she has a real thing for My Little Pony and Shopkins – with Shopkins coming out on top!
With the house decorated and presents laid out we picked her up from school and told her friends about a special party that I had managed to get booked for the weekend. It was an impromptu visit into Claires’ at Durham when I spoke with the manager and found out about the childrens’ parties they held, princess dress up, pamper, make up and hair plus shopping – WHAT??!! How did I not know about this and I bet you’re saying the same (…and no I don’t think there is an age limit either – roll on my 43rd birthday!!)
Sunday came and she was so giddy, it was fabulous to see her so excited about it all as although she’s always smiling she rarely lets anyone else see how excited she is – she is painfully shy in public! The ladies in the store were fabulous with the girls and had them playing dress up games, musical statues and bumps as well as spending time plaiting their hairs, doing make up and nails etc too.
The girls all looked like mini teenagers by the time they had finished with their blue eyeshadows and over pink cheeks (it was all done in kid style so no making them older than what they are which is what I really loved about it!)
Once we got home Evie couldnt wait to dive into her presents and start building up her Shopkins market stall and play with all her new purchases! Me, I cant wait to play Goldie Blox and the Parade Float which is an interactive reading book where you have to build the float etc as you go!
Thank you everyone for making my little princess feel just that….a true princess!
XOXO
Debbie
