Finding a destination for your family holiday at times can be a daunting, and near impossible job. You want somewhere that not only makes your kids happy but allows you to have some relaxation away from work.
There are some amazing destinations for both summer and winter holidays, in this blog I’m going to take you through some of the best destinations out there.
Majorca
The Balearic Island has been incredibly popular with British holidaymakers for the last 50 years and has everything you could possibly want from a family holiday. The flights and transfers are short, and there’s some great hotels and apartments for you to stay in.
Not only is the convenience of Majorca great, the beaches are stunning and there’s some great attractions. You can also take in the historic old towns, packed with culture and more traditional restaurants.

Majorca has laidback resorts such as Cala Bona or Alcúdia that are more laidback and feature some great beaches. Alternatively, you could stay in Palma Nova, with its great beaches, minigolf course and Aqualand waterpark.
Majorca is a great family Summer holiday getaway. The winter months are also far warmer than the UK, so it could be a nice little family break after Christmas. On the Beach can help you with any Majorca enquiries.
Disneyland Paris
The ultimate kids and family holiday located 32km east of the centre of Paris, Disneyland Paris plays host to some of the finest family entertainment, catering for both the kids and the parents.
There are many different resorts, with the closest to us being Paris. Known as ‘the happiest place on Earth’, there’s everything from knuckle biting rollercoasters, to more laidback rides that take you on a true Disney adventure and make it feel like you’re in the films.

There are numerous hotels and resorts you can stay around the site, and a number of restaurants and bars you can use during your stay. Everything is where you need it to be, and you could quite easily stay within the resort for the entirety of your stay.

Lapland
A far cry from Majorca weather wise, but an equally amazing family getaway. Lapland is a family favourite for winter holidays, and you are guaranteed snow!
Your kids have the opportunity to meet Santa and get fully involved with activities run by his elves. You can even hop on a sleigh pulled by a reindeer! If you have a more grown up family, you can head to the ski slopes or go hiking in the hills and mountains. In certain resorts you may even be able to spot the Northern Lights.
There’s multiple resorts you can stay in, from the lively town of Rovaniemi, to the snow activity focused Kuusamo, Yllas and Levi. If you are after a more laidback stay, then you may want to head to Luosto and Hetta, this is where the Northern Lights can be spotted at certain times of the year.

Spain
Back to more sunnier climbs, and a destination a majority of British holidaymakers have headed to at some point in their travelling lives. Spain is a hotspot with some stunning beaches and great family entertainment, combined with culture and picturesque scenery.
Costa Del Sol is one of the most popular areas of Spain visited by tourists, featuring popular towns like Malaga, Benálmadena and Marbella. If you are fancying a city break you can head to Barcelona or Madrid, famous for their beautiful architecture and lively atmosphere. You can of course head to the famous Benidorm if you truly want an all in family holiday.

Spain is a big country so there really is something for everyone, whether that be a quiet family getaway, or a theme park filled, entertainment style holiday. Make sure you do your research before you head over and know what it is you are looking for.
