I don’t know about you but I have spent most of this lockdown working on what we are going to do once we are released back into the wild. That may sound extreme but after 5 weeks of not leaving the house I have a feeling we may all bolt once the doors are opened!
We of course have lots of little things on our list, visits to the park and the beach. Eating chips while walking along the seafront and taking a picnic to the park so the kids can run wild and play to their hearts content with all their friends.
On the other hand I think being stuck at home has given me a thirst to see more of the world. To take the girls and show them there is more than these four walls, more than just what is on our doorstep and that the world is a huge place with so many things to do. We should all have bucket lists of things that we want to do and if this lock down has shown us one thing its that we shouldn’t just be sitting back waiting for things to happen. We need to get out there and go for it.
Top of our list for venturing outside of the UK is Disneyland Paris. I think the girls are old enough to appreciate it now and what with Disney+ coming out recently they are all about the movies! Disneyland Paris is the ultimate kids and family friendly holiday and located 32km east of the centre of Paris so eurodisney tickets would be a must. Evie would love to go to the Eiffel Tower too and has been on her list for years so that would be two we could do in one go!
We would go the whole hog and have dress up outfits too, have you seen there are even dedicated facebook pages etc for adults dressing as Disney characters. I think this could be a great way to vent some of the cooped up frustrations we are all feeling and a perfect way to just be free for a while!
