I have been tagged by the lovely Arepops blog to do The Mummy Tag so here goes with my answers and hopefully it will give you a little more info on me and mine!
I am a stay at home mum who runs her own business Sweet Evangelines and I am also an author! Book one is for sale on Amazon here – Gifts from your kitchen – and book two is under way!
2. Would you have it any other way?
NOT AT ALL! I am super busy all the time and adore every second! I thrive on deadlines and have always wanted to be a wife an mum so really I am living my dream!
3. Do you co-sleep?
Always have! I remember one night when son number 4 was born and I said I wanted him in the hospital bed with me. The nurses said it wasn’t the done thing but he was my child and they respected my wishes. In the morning all the other mums were pacing the floor and saying how envious of us having 12 solid hours they were. You do what works for you and I don’t judge anyone so as long as you and baby are happy then do what suits!
4. What is the one must have item for baby?
I would have to say cuddles, I know that may be a little controversial but I don’t care. They are only little for a while and they thrive on love so cuddle them while you can!
5. How many kids do you plan on having?
HAHA! OK I’m thinking since hubby had the snip last November then our 6 are enough. We have a grandchild due soon so that will more than make up for baby time as we are enjoying having a little bit of freedom back now our smallest is almost 2!
6. Date nights?! How often do you have them?
What are they? No seriously I don’t remember the last time it was just me and Stuart on a date…now we have an almost 18 year old at home to babysit though that is about to change!
7. Your childs favourite show?
Ben and Hollys Little Kingdom – I have to admit I love Nanny Plums dry sense of humour too!
8. Name one thing you brought before you had the baby and never ended up using?
Wow, erm… probably with our first it would have been a mountain of toys or outfits.
9. Your child’s favourite food?
Amelia loves everything and I mean EVERYTHING! This child is a bottomless pit and will eat everything in sight! The kids have always been good eaters and have often sat with olives and cockles etc before the age of 2 – much to everyones amusement! lol
10. How many cars does your family have?
Just one – only hubby drives!
11. Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
Decline to answer for fear of getting endorsements from Weight watchers or Slimming World! 😉
12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Has to be Disney doesn’t it really?! I would love to take the kids but irresponsible lending when we were younger etc means we are still paying off debts now 🙁
13. Dream holiday without your kids?
Seychelles, Maldives – anywhere with clear sky, clear water and cocktails!
14. How has your life changed since having kids?
I feel like I am who I always wanted to be! I have a purpose and my children ARE my life, everything I do is for them so right now life is good!
15. Finish the sentence “It makes heart melt when…”
Hubby looks at me just like he did pre kids! Those days when I didn’t have a tummy that hung over my undies and my boobs were that little bit (ok, a lot!) more pert! haha Jeez – that look sends me back to being 20 again and falling in love all over again!
16. Where do you shop for your kids?
Everywhere! Lately Asda and Charity shops (cute little coat that still had tags on for £2.99!!)
17. Favourite make-up and skincare products?
See here for my favourite foundation and I have and always will love eyeliner and mascara. Here is a previous look as I love doing my make up and I’m a huge make up hoarder!
18. Huggies or Pampers?
Pampers nappies and Huggies wipes. Lately though I have found shops own makes – ie Tesco, Boots etc are just as good as the brands!!
19. Have you always wanted kids?
ALWAYS! Can’t imagine life without them and always wanted them, does it speak volumes that on our first date we were discussing how many!! Now 21 years and 6 children later we are more than happy!
20. Best part of being a mum?
Pure love! Knowing that no matter what you are always there for them, through fights and hissy fits you are always the first they turn to. Simple – Love!
Thank you for this beautiful tag honey and I am tagging in return the fabulous Kara over at Spread the Sparkle and anyone else who reads it and needs to spill some love! <3
XOXO
Debbie

So lovely to read all about you and your family life. We co slept on holiday and our little girl slept amazing… came home yesterday (slept in her cot) and she’s back to bad sleep. Holiday bed was much bigger tho! Nanny plum is hilarious 🙂 x
Isn’t it sad that cuddles could be considered controversial? Why the idea that we should deny our children such a natural, loving thing became a parenting ‘technique’ is beyond me!! xx
