There is so much I want to do this year and taking the kids to different cities around the UK is one of the tasks I want to tick off our list. Do you love visiting cities and finding out about how different parts of the country have regional foods and ways of doing things? There really is so much happening right on our doorstep that the UK is the perfect place for a staycation. On our list is Edinburgh, Manchester, York and London.

We have found that booking tickets in advance is a great way to save money rather than turning up and paying admission. A lot of places offer discount for booking in advance and offer family discounts, multiple bookings, loyalty offers etc. We found that when booking tickets for Edinburgh Playhouse it was best to shop around.
After a recent visit to Manchester the girls are super excited to head straight to the crystal stores that we found. The girls have never been to a musical and have chosen The Lion King as their first, I really can’t wait as it is one I have looked forward to seeing since it launched. We got tickets via best-tickets.co.uk and the whole process was simple.

With London we were spoiled for choice on what to do but I really don’t want to overload the girls on their first visit. They of course want to see Harry Potter studios so that is a must, in which case I am thinking we will be staying for a couple of days. London always seems to get to family shows too, the girls have been bugging me for a while to find somewhere that is showing The Tiger Who Came To Tea and Disney on Ice. So, we are going to try and mix in a couple of family shows alongside eating out and generally taking in the sights of London, we can’t go all that way and not visit the Tower of London, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace … oh yes and I have strict instructions that we MUST go to the M&M shop!
What do you have planned for spring break? Are you off anywhere nice or have anything booked?
